I'm a bit worried about Andrew Marr. 53 seems all too young to have a stroke. He's a fit bloke with no excess fat anywhere on him. Good interviewer too-- less superciloious than Paxman although I personally like Paxman too (my wife doesn't!)
He smokes and drinks too much like all successful journos.

Apparently about 25% of strokes in the UK happen to the under-65s

I'm not sure theres any age restriction. When I go to the Warfarin blood test clinic I see teenage boys and young mums having the tests also theres no fitness or weight issues.
My daughter too, and she is only 30 ! - though not Warfarin, but a new anti-coagulant called Rivaroxiban - it is a set dose, so do not need to get your bloods done as regularly to adjust the dosage.
She had massive DVT 2 weeks after having her baby in November, and was at major risk of heart attack, stroke or pulmonary embolism.

How's she getting on Jilly? And the bairn? I was thinking of starting a sort of non-book family thread to replace the 'Best wishes to Magsw, Barry, Helen, Bumble' one, in which I'd have kicked off by asking you that very thing.
Thanks for asking - she's doing OK - you wouldn't know there was a problem, but does get a bit anxious every time she gets an odd feeling in her leg. Sophia (baby) is lovely, changing daily (not just the nappy changes !!)
Good idea about a family/health thread - will start one on the Colin's Bar board.
We finally got our house on 17th - so it is all go - trying to get 'granny flat' bit ready for MIL - so doing a 70 mile round trip each day to go and decorate etc etc.

They say I will need Warfarin for the rest of my life.
Join the club!
I'm looking forward to glowing in the dark!
